Since 2001 to 2011 the population has nearly doubled from 38,667 to 61,374. The median household income leads the country at $175,230 according to Statistics Canada and obviously employment prospects are good across the board.

While $2,000 for two bedrooms seems rather daunting when compared with Nanaimo, the median household income of $175,000 is more than ample to accommodate those kind of housing costs.
