Zorkin Insurance Robbed At Knifepoint


Knife Wielding Robber Assaults Employees

Police are asking for the public's help finding the man who robbed Zorking Insurance on Estevan Road on Saturday evening around 5:00 pm.

The culprit is described as being scruffy looking of slim build, in his mid thirties and about five foot eight tall. At the time of the robbery he was wearing light coloured pants, a baseball cap and a faded green hoodie.

The man entered the office and threatened a lone female employee with a knife, and made stabbing motions when he was demanding more money than she had given him. A second female employee then entered the office and the thief sprayed them both with a fire extinquisher he has brought with him.


Neither women were physically hurt during the robbery, however they were both quite shaken by the whole ordeal. Anyone with information about this robbery is encouraged to call the Nanaimo RCMP station at 250-754-2345. The theif was last seen heading south east towards Stewart Ave.
