Housing Starts Up 37% November 2012 / 2011
Year To Date Off 7.2% Overall
Multiple housing starts year to date November 2012 / 2011 are down 11.5% and single detached housing starts are unchanged .
Year to date comparisons for the first eleven months of 2012 compared with 2011 show single detached dwellings slightly changed from 227 in 2011 to 229 in 2012 . Multiple dwelling starts decreased from 425 units in 2011 to 376 units in 2012 for a 11.5% decrease.
The month of November had a increase in single detached houses from 15 in 2011 to 23 in 2012 for an increase of 53%. For the month multiple housing starts increased from 12 in 2011 to 14 in 2012. Total starts were up from 27 in 2011 to 37 in 2012.
