In this Huffpost article Premier Clark claims that union demands for benefits such as an extra day off, unlimited massages and a $5,000 signing bonus must be set aside to make it possible to get to the things that she thinks really matter to parents.
Her comments incited a defensive response from the teachers' federation.
In the meantime, our kids are not getting the education we are paying for as a result of what seems like two sides so entrenched they can never agree.
