Another sunny week in paradise!
Someone used to refer to Nanaimo as the Sun Porch of Canada......we just don't have that kind of spokesman for Nanaimo anymore. Instead we make national news because city hall wants to destroy arguably the best city park in town and wastes millions of tax dollars and millions in time, effort and emotional capital creating a spectacle that is simply absurd!
Someone should write a book, or at the very least a white paper on the whole Colliery Dam Affair. It might not be a page-turner but certainly would be a head-shaker. An alternate title could be "City Assaults Common Sense & Insults Citizen Intelligence".
