SIGN UP TO COMPETE OR JUST COME TO WATCH!
That's right this coming Monday is a ProD day (code for teacher's day off) and boarders of all ages and skill levels can come to a real live board competition in Bowen Park. The event will be on the hill adjacent the volley ball courts.
Doesn't snow in Nanaimo you say? No worries, Parks and Rec will be putting down a base of Zamboni snow and are shipping in a whole truckload from Mt. Washington. So, no need to head up to the mountain to show off your stuff.
The event will be held in Bowen Park from 10:00 am - 4:00pm and registration only costs $10 which includes a cool event t-shirt.
Children and youth under 19 will need a parent or guardian waiver signed, helmets are mandatory.
