Nanaimo Cruise Ship Terminal

 Norwegian Pearl
First Visitor To New Terminal

The Norwegian Pearl is scheduled to arrive in Nanaimo this Saturday, May 7 at 7:00 am and will remain until 5:00 pm.

This Jewel-class cruise ship has 1100 crew who attend to the comfort of the 2394 passengers she can carry. The ship was launched in Oct. 2006 and has 15 decks, tonnage of 93,500 and is 965 feet long with a beam of 106 feet. She needs 27 feet of water beneath her to stay afloat.

This impressive ship has the honor of being the first vessel to make use of our new Cruise Ship Terminal, which is getting the last of the finishing touches applied, as we speak. It is hoped that Nanaimo will put on a world class welcome to our very first visitors, as we all know, we only get one chance to make a good first impression.

Now, if we can all implore the weatherman to bless our first guests with some of that famous west coast sunshine which accentuates the natural beauty and bounty for which we are known.
