SUPER YACHT VISITS NANAIMO

D'Natalin IV DOCKED IN NANAIMO HARBOUR

The super yacht D'Natalin IV was seen docked in Nanaimo's harbour on Saturday enjoying clear blue skies and a delightfully balmy afternoon.

The super yacht was just launched this year in April by Christensen Shipyards of Vancouver Washington and after sea trials was delivered to it's owners in May of this year. As the name implies this is the fourth yacht it's owners have had, and is described as a family yacht.

A little bit of information gleaned from the Net include the fact she is 164' long with a 29' beam and draws nearly 8' of water. She has four levels and is finished combining traditional raised-panel millwork with furniture and fabrics that are more contemporary.

If you want to head off on a sea cruise she has a range of 4,000 nm at 10 knots powered by two Caterpillar 3512C, 1650 HP @ 1800 RPM. Cruising speed is 15 knots with a max speed of 17 knots.

Before you head out, you will have to stop by at your local fuel dock and top up the tanks which hold 57,920 ltr or 15.300 gallons.

She is one striking vessel and clearly the owners have impeccable taste, witnessed by their choice of ports to visit.
