The first advance polling opportunity at Dodd Narrows Room in the conference centre would indicate that Nanaimo is not getting all that interested in the upcoming by-election for City Council.
When you consider that at this very moment people are risking life and limb for the privilege of having a say in how they are governed our apathy is reproachable.

The next advance poll is Wed. March 23 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm in the Dodd Narrows Room at the Conference Centre on Commercial Street.
Take the time to get to know the candidates, get to know the real issues and make an effort to do YOUR part in democracy by being informed and being involved. If all that means is casting your ballot, the burden is hardly unbearable.

ReplyDeleteHe also seems to have the roles of City Councilors, who likely never get a complete weekend free, and city staff, who do, a bit confused.
