Nanaimo Silly Boat Regatta
"Let The Silliness Begin!"
This Sunday, Maffeo Sutton Park will once again be the place to be in Nanaimo, as the family fun, fun fundraiser which supports Nanaimo Child Development Centre hits the water once again.
Silly Boat builders will start assembling at Maffeo Sutton Park at 8:00 am where they will have until race time to build their amazing, and not so amazing watercraft using some of the most creative means of flotation known to man.
The race itself gets underway around noon, but you will want to get there much earlier so you can watch these skilled craftsmen in action as they build their boats and find a spot on the beach to take in this crowd pleasing event.
