Petitioner Claims Campbell Not Eligible
An online petition has gathered nearly 3,000 signatures so far in opposition to the announcement that ex-Premier Gordon Campbell will receive the Order of BC.
The petition claims that Campbell still held office after the closing date for the 2011 awards had passed, disqualifying him for either the nomination or the award according to rules governing the honor.
