Flag Entrusted To Nanaimo Empire Days Society

Warren Sibbet, left, Ron Hopper, Karen Hopper and Roy Linder, of the Nanaimo Empire Days Society, accept a Canadian Legion British Empire Service League flag from Andrew Farrow, president Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10. The flag carries the BESL insignia which represents its 1921 founding as a means to link together ex-service organizations throughout the then British Commonwealth. It will go on display with other society heritage memorabilia.
