"I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Dan Brady, outgoing Chair, for his significant contributions to the TLC from 2012 to 2014." Dan Brady is a member of the NEDC board and will remain on the TLC as the board liaison.

“The tourism industry in Nanaimo is undergoing significant change at the moment. These changes will be fuelled in the coming years by new demand from China as well as the development of new attractions and events, funded in part by the accommodation tax. It’s an exciting time for our industry and I look forward to contributing to the advancement of our destination’s development,” said Sandra Petryk, new Chair of the TLC.
