Pipers, Mounties in Red Serge and flags from many nations made up the official opening ceremony of the Canada Day Celebrations this past weekend.The weather was absolutely spectacular as thousands of Nanaimo residents took part in the family fun at Maffeo Sutton Park.
Lots of food, lots of music and live entertaining, face painting and games for the kids, made it a perfect family day for all.
Hope you were able to enjoy a delightful day on Nanaimo's glorious waterfront.
