Live FREE For A Year Winner Chosen Oct. 19

GRAND FINALE EVENT THIS SATURDAY!

The final three finalists have been randomly selected to participate in Woodgrove Centre’s “LIVE FREE FOR A YEAR” Grand Finale Event on Saturday, October 19 in centre court! Jody Critchlow of Qualicum Beach, Shannon Yaredic of Nanaimo and Hayley Warner of Bowser received a $500 Woodgrove Centre gift card and will join the other nine finalists on October 19.

Free activities start at 11:30 am including balloon twisting by Cookie the Clown, face painting as well as cupcakes from Save On Foods and a chance to “spin to win” for prizes starting at 11:30 am while quantities last.

The random selection of the “LIVE FREE FOR A YEAR” Grand Prize Winner will start at 1 pm. The $40,000 grand prize package consists of $15,000 in Woodgrove Centre gift cards, $10,000 in cash, a 1 year lease on a 2014 Toyota Corolla sponsored by Nanaimo Toyota, $5,200 in grocery gift cards co-sponsored by Save On Foods, $4,800 in gas gift cards co sponsored by The General Stores & Markets and Gas N Go and a $1,000 donation to the grand prize winner’s selected charity.

As part of the entry process, participants were asked to select one of nine participating charities. The top three charities with the most votes will be announced at the Grand Finale Event on October 19 and each will receive a $1,000 donation.

Participating charities include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Vancouver Island, Cops for Cancer/Tour de Rock, Habitat for Humanity Mid Vancouver Island, Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, The Salvation Army, United Way of Central Vancouver Island, Vancouver Island University Foundation and Variety – The Children’s Charity.
