Harewood Neighbourhood Plan Open House
On Saturday, 2012-MAY-26, the City of Nanaimo will be hosting a Harewood Neighbourhood Plan Open House at the University Village Shopping Centre – 540 Fifth Street, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The purpose of the Open House is to increase awareness of the neighbourhood plan process in the community, provide opportunities for greater communication and notifications through the process, and to provide information for those who may be interested in participating on the Neighbourhood Plan Committee.
The Neighbourhood Plan is intended to focus on the specific needs and desires of the neighbourhood while maintaining the objectives and policies of the City’s Official Community Plan (planNanaimo).
Residents, property owners, and business owners of the Harewood area are invited to drop by the Open House to meet the planning staff, and learn more about the plan process and objectives and how to become involved.
