Nanaimo Visitor Kiosk Opens

Northfield Rd. & Parkway

Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation’s Tourism Division has opened a temporary Visitor Centre on Friday May 18, 2012 at 2450 Northfield Road.

Tourism Nanaimo under the NEDC umbrella, will operate the Visitor Centre in partnership with Tourism British Columbia. A second Visitor Centre currently operating out of the Port of Nanaimo Centre downtown will continue to operate through Labour Day. Hours of operation for both locations are 7 days per week from 9am – 5pm beginning on May 18, 2012.

“The Northfield Road location is highly visible and will welcome visitors travelling up and down the Island;” says AJ Hustins, NEDC Board Chair.

The permanent visitor centre is currently under construction and is scheduled to open later in the summer this year. This location will be open year round.
