BC Ferries passengers traveling between Tsawwassen and Nanaimo are reminded that the Duke Point Terminal is now back in service, after being closed for repairs after a 'hard landing' (code for crash) months ago.
During repairs the Duke Point to Tsawwassen ferry was using the terminal at Departure Bay where the Departure Bay - Horseshoe Bay ferry travels to and from.
While both ferries leaving from the Departure Bay Terminal did not seem to impose any serious traffic concerns, with the busier summer months coming it is good the Duke Point Terminal is now back in service as line ups on Stewart Ave. during peak times would be impacted if Duke Point traffic was all trying to funnel into Departure Bay.
