The above was posted on the VIU facebook page this morning, Saturday, April 1/17. It would appear that the local petition was enough encouragement for the university to get onside and commit to something that will surely be a huge asset for Nanaimo.

Other exciting news on Facebook this morning, Saturday April 1/17 is that local businessman Morgan Carey has announced his intentions to run for the position of Mayor in the 2018 civic election.
