Thursday July 19
 Huge Sidewalk Sale and Summer Splash Workshop (at the Musem) downtown Nanaimo staring at 10:00 am downtown. These events are on for the entire Marine Festival.

Cutting of the OFFICIAL Nanaimo Marine Festival cake at Quality Foods Northridge Plaza at 10:30 am.

Marine Festival Food Fare opens in Maffeo Sutton Park with displays, food booths, Harbourside Playdock and Kiddies Karnival, opens at 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

Canadian Forces Display and information booths open at Maffeo Sutton Park at 11:00 am.

Official Opening of TIM HORTONS Marine Festival Entertainment Stage starting at 3:00 pm on the stage in Maffeo Sutton Park featuring The Distributors, Renovation Blue Band, Johnny Good, Mike Edel and Bananafish from 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

Friday July 20
Bathtub Days Street Fair enjoy sidewalk sales, pancake breakfast, musical entertainment, fun for everyone in downtown Nanaimo for more specific information call the DNBIA 250-754-8141

RCMP Display booth in Maffeo Sutton Park from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, stop by and see the inside of a real police cruiser.

Marine Festival Food Fare and fun displays in Maffeo Sutton Park 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

Tim Hortons Entertainment Stage in Maffeo Sutton Park live entertainment starts at 12:00 noon with something for everyone from the children to the adults in the crowd. There will be live performers on stage through to 10:00 pm.

Bavarian Garden hosted by the Loyal Order of the Moose is open on the Basketball Court at Maffeo Sutton Park from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A place to stop by for some liquid refreshment for the adults.

Saturday July 21
FREE PARKING AT THE BASTION STREET PARKADE
Saturday Jly 21 9:30 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Sail Past on Wheels Fun Parade in downtown Nanaimo starts at 10:30 am. This years salute and theme is "50th Anniversary of the Oak Bay Tea Party'.

Lots of fun stuff in downtown Nanaimo from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, sidewalk sales, pancake breakfasts, entertainment for everyone.

Marine Festival Food Fare and fund displays in Maffeo Sutton Park  11:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Youth Talent Show 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm on the Tim Hortons Stage in Maffeo Sutton Park.

FIREWORKS Display put on by Quality Foods starting at 10:00 pm, Regional District buses will be available to the fireworks from 6:00 pm - 12:00 midnight as downtown parking will be very limited. 

Sunday July 22 "GREAT RACE" Day

FREE Parking at Bastion Street Parkade from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Clearing The Harbour for the "Great Race" Start at 10:30 am.

11:00 AM SHARP with the firing of the 5th Field Battery Howitzer the 46th Annual "Great" International Bathtub Race is underway leaving from the inner harbour with viewing from Maffeo Sutton Park and Swy-a-lana Lagoon.

12:00 Noon - 5:00 pm at Departure Bay Beach the Food Fare opens with food, displays and amusements.

Bathtubs can be expected at the finish line from sometime after 12:00 noon depending on weather conditions. The Official Finish Line is at Departure Bay Beach where weary, weather beaten tubbers have to run across the beach and up the stairs to ring the bell to officially have completed the race.
