VIU Strike Update April 1

VIUFA General Meeting

The striking Vancouver Island University Faculty Association is holding a member's only meeting tonight in the Shaw Auditorium at the Conference Centre downtown.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:00 pm and the agenda will be set at the meeting due to bargaining.

    Finish this thing already people have their lives to continue, and stopping education isn't helping ANYONE

    VIUFA's derogatory comments toward university administrators are not helpful.

    VIUFA needs to work toward building and re-building a spirit of cooperation amongst administrators, VIUFA, CUPE and BCGEU members.

    Remember most departments have members from all of these groups and the students benefit from all staff collaborating with one another to deliver the best education we can. VIUFA seems to have lost sight of this.

    Please stop saying that the stuents support this strike I am a student and I do not support it all. When talking to the press please start speaking for yourselves not for the students who feel like the little man!!
