City Council Passes 2015 Budget

With no time on the clock........

Mayor McKay said he was expecting balloons and confetti to drop from the ceiling when this council finally agreed to the 2015 budget. It had been the subject of many election promises to hold the line on taxes and while he supported it, Councillor Hong said he intended to work harder on the next budget, in addition Councillor Yoachim voted for the budget but expressed his concerns for upcoming budget increases going forward.

Councillor Kipp said he seldom voted for the budget but given this was the last one that Mr. Brian Clemens would be presenting as he is retiring after working for the city for 28 years, Kipp voted in favour of this budget also.
