Tourism Nanaimo Launches Local #ExploreNanaimo

Nanaimo is encouraging locals and their visiting friends and family to
#ExploreNanaimo! A free passport of specials is available (attached) featuring
monthly discounts on a number of local tourism experiences in Nanaimo &
Region. From May through September there will be a variety of specials on
activities such as snorkeling with seals, kayak tours, fishing charters, scooter
rentals, Nanaimo Bar pedicures, scenic float plane tours and many, many more! To
get a copy of the passport visit www.ExploreNanaimoBC.com and print one out or pick it
up at one of the Visitor Centre locations.
The
#ExploreNanaimo regional campaign launched May 1 and will continue
through September 30, 2015. The microsite www.ExploreNanaimoBC.com will aggregate social content
from Twitter and Instagram tagged with #ExploreNanaimo, and will also be fed by
Tourism Nanaimo’s Facebook page and Pinterest. The site also features a “create
your own postcard” function, from which a variety of photos can be selected and
sent to friends
and family inviting them to visit Nanaimo & Region.
There will be monthly prize
giveaways and an Ultimate Nanaimo Experience Grand Prize drawn in October
2015. Entries are automatic to anyone who posts an image using the
#ExploreNanaimo hashtag. There will be bonus prizes for sharing content and use
of the hashtag. Be sure to check the rules and how to post on the
ExploreNanaimoBC.com site.
