Woodgrove Centre's - 'Make Waste Disappear'

Brian Thompson, NRE and Nola Dunn Woodgrove Marketing Director
SUSTAINABILITY ONE BAG AT A TIME

Thousands of plastic bags have been collected since Woodgrove introduced one of their newest sustainability initiatives a year ago. The “Let’s Make Waste Disappear” display has been set up periodically throughout the shopping centre since Earth Day 2012 in the hopes that shoppers will recycle their plastic bags. The collected bags are recycled through the Nanaimo Recycling Exchange. “We appreciate that our shoppers have supported this initiative to help keep plastic out of the landfills,” shared Woodgrove Centre’s General Manager Mark Fenwick.

The display will be located near the Food Court during Earth Week.
