Have You Lost Your Starbucks Gift Cards?

Wonder what happened to your Starbuck's gift cards?

The Nanaimo RCMP would like to find the owner of several packages of pre-loaded Starbucks gift cards, seized during an arrest in mid-December.

On Sunday December 13th, at approximately 3 am the Nanaimo RCMP responded to a report of a male prowling in driveways along Cilaire Drive. A short time later a 26 year male matching the description provided was located and arrested. A search of his belongings turned up the gift cards and a receipt for the purchase. The officers were confident the suspect did not make the purchase and was in possession of the cards through criminal means.

"Officers have made local inquiries but to date, have not been able to identify who purchased the cards. They do know they were purchased at the Metral Drive Starbuck's December 12th, at 8:37 pm. It is possible the purchaser may not even know the cards were stolen" said Constable Gary O'Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP. The last four digits of either the debit or credit card used to make the purchase are shown on the receipt.

If anyone has information on who purchased the gift cards, please contact Constable Eric Rettmer of the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
