Where Are We Going?

No Wonder The Bad Guys Are Selling Crack

It used to be that drugs, booze, gambling, prostitution and tobacco were the revenue streams of those seedy gangsters in the 1920's and 1930's.

However, in recent years those legitimate governments we keep electing have taken over those once lucrative enterprises forcing the 'bad guys' to sell stuff like wacky tabacky and crack cocaine.

I realize the government has to leave some substances on the illegal list so that our police forces will have something to amuse themselves with.

In our province the Liberals or Fiberals as some call them have decided to increase our gaming revenues by raising the amount you can bet online from $120 to $9,999 and will introduce casino style games online next March.

Now a Toronto Mayor hopeful is suggesting that going into the prostitution business would be good for taxpayers as well. He proposes regulating the 'business' so that it can be taxed properly.

He is not the first politician to float this balloon either, nor will he be the last. I predict that sooner or later, probably sooner, it will become acceptable for us to also go into the 'sex trade' to shore up our gambling, booze, tobacco and alcohol revenues as governments just can't seem to figure out how to stop spending.
