Nanaimo Art Classes For All Ages

Creative Escape Art Programs
Fun For All Ages

Regardless of your age there is a good chance there is an 'artist within' just waiting to be released! Now you have the chance to get some professional assistance developing your latent talent whether you are 2 or 102.

Creative Escape Art Programs offers Nanaimo residents the opportunity to explore painting, sculpture, mixed media, costume and performance art, drawing and more all in their brand new facility in Nanaimo North Town Center.

Owner/artist/instructor Robyn Foster has tailored a wide variety of classes designed to help you discover and nurture your artistic ability.

Children's classes include: Studio Tots Art Class for ages 2 - 3 years, Artist Studio ages 6 - 9 years, Dress to Express! Wearable Art and Design 6 - 9 years, Advanced Youth Studio 10 - 13 years, World Art 3 - 6 years, Creative Kids 4 - 6 years and a Halloween Bash 3- 6 years.
Adult programs include: Drawing in charcoal, pencil and soft pastels, Afternoon Acrylics, ideal for beginner artist or painter, Teen Drawing & Teen Acrylics, Portfolio Prepartion ideal for the artist wishing to exhibit or sell their work.

The bright, inviting studio in Nanaimo North Town Centre has an outside entrance meaning they are not restricted to being open only during regular mall hours. Their entrance is on the same side of the mall as the Best Buy store entrance, with an entrance from inside the mall and also outside as well.

The bright, vibrant surroundings are in harmony with the studio's owner, as Robyn is clearly someone with a genuine passion for what she is doing. She has no interest in cloning herself, but rather has a desire to see her students discover their creative nature and let it express itself in whatever manner they choose. To her, art is something to be experienced and not simply to be the creation of a pretty object to be looked at.

Instructor Robyn Foster, an award winning artist, holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Victoria (honours and distinction). In addition to exhibiting her work nationally, Robyn specializes in designing and instructing visual art programs on Vancouver Island.
Currently she is instructing many of the classes being offered through Nanaimo Parks and Recreation listed in their August 2010 - March 2011 Activity Guide.
