Apparently a magnet (which you can keep) covers the valve in the bottom of the glass which allows the beer to flow into the glass from the bottom. The system is sold as a real time saver to the old method of pouring a draft beer. The only disadvantage I see, is you have to like drinking from a plastic glass.
