Gabriel Peter STINSON Charged Second Dregree Murder
A Nanaimo RCMP investigation has resulted in Crown Counsel laying a
charge of second degree murder against 40 year old Gabriel Peter
STINSON; the man allegedly responsible for the death of a 35 year old
Nanaimo man on Sunday, January 13, 2013.
At approximately 2 pm on
Sunday, January 13, Nanaimo RCMP officers responded to a disturbance
complaint at an apartment complex in the 500 block of 5th street in
Nanaimo.
Uniform officers attended and found the victim suffering
from a knife wound and STINSON performing CPR. A Nanaimo RCMP officer
took over and continued CPR until BC Ambulance Service arrived. The
victim was taken to the Nanaimo Regional Hospital where he died of his
injury.
The Nanaimo RCMP is confident that it was not a random act of violence but a confrontation that ended tragically.
