Nanaimo boy turns in large sum of money

The Province is reporting that an honest 11 year old in Nanaimo may be able to keep the money he found if the owner is not identified.

The boy found the money and took it to his mother who then called the RCMP. Police have no recent reports of lost or stolen cash but are appealing to those who think it could be theirs.

You can call the RCMP at 250-754-2345 and give the date and time of the loss or theft, the amount and denominations and how the cash was stored.

If no one turns up, the honest boy with admirable character could be in for a pleasant surprise.
