Home Invasion 3000 Block Barons Road

Police investigating home invasion

The Nanaimo RCMP is investigating a home invasion involving 3 males, all carrying weapons and wearing bandanas. The incident occurred at approximately 11 pm on Thursday April 7, at a home in the 3000 block of Barons Road. None of the occupants of the home were seriously injured and the suspects fled prior to police arriving.

When officers arrived at the home, they were told by one of the five occupants, there had been a knock at the front door and when answered, three males were outside asking to speak with a male who lived there. A few moments later, the three suspects entered and with one brandishing a knife, another a crowbar and the third male carrying what appeared to be a semi-automatic BB gun. A tussle then ensued with the one of the tenants. When the suspects heard the police had been called, they quickly left. No one was injured and none of the tenants could offer an explanation as to what the suspects may have wanted. During the scuffle, one of the suspects dropped a Chicago Bulls cap he had been wearing.

The three suspects were all between 5 ft. 10 and 6 ft. with slim builds and were wearing either blue or red bandana's which concealed their identities.
