Dale Schulz - Nanaimo - "As he sees it" - June 13/16

Lifelong Nanaimo resident, professional artist and illustrator Dale Schulz 'sees' much of Nanaimo many of us simply walk by without giving a second thought.

Through the eyes of an artist the everyday can become almost magical and with a few simple photos of his daily walks, Dale captures and shares some of that magic on his Facebook page.

The following is the most recent example of what Dale sees when he walks about our lovely seaside community many of us just take for granted.

Dale's Post - June 13/16

Wow! I was feeling a little under the weather this morning so almost went out without my camera! I'm GLAD I took it along!

Indy and I spied many an ‪#‎abandoned‬ chair - all on View Street and Hecate Street; as well as some nice old wood stuff. including a neat old crate lid on Farquhar Street.

We took a shot in Nob Hill Park and one of a boat in the harbour.

Downtown a 'Hallmark' Movie was being filmed - Nanaimo was standing in for New York City - imagine THAT! Anyway I took a few shots of the action including a fun one of the camera operators.

I also took a picture of the Credit Union and Port Theatre from Wharf Street, and the corner of the Vault Café on Albert Street where a sudden downpour was overloading the downspout from the roof.
