RETAILERS ARE GETTING ABSURD WITH EARLY CHRISTMAS SALES COMMERCIALS
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the sales gurus in retail-land are really jumping the gun this year?
My wife and I were in the 'W' store on the first day of November and first thing in the morning, off in the distance you could hear the familiar choruses of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer playing over the stores sound system. The first of November!!!
This is not just an isolated case, the Christmas sales 'jump start' is also showing up on television with retailers using all their tricks to try and get us to rush out and fill their cash registers as they attempt to convince us we really need to start our shopping now.
I presume that with the current financial upset there are many panicking bean counters in board rooms someplace trying to figure out how to exploit the Christmas sales season all year long!
But come on guys . . . . . give it a rest until at least after Remembrance Day!
