Man charged in 16 - year old girls stabbing
Arshil Azim Parekh has been charged with attempted murder in the stabbing attack against a 16-year-old girl in Nanaimo.
The assault took place in the 3300 block of Fairway Cres. this past Tuesday. The intervention of a neighbour by calling out, and then alerting police is being credited with likely saving the girl's life.
The suspect has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on May 20, 2014.
