Signal Operational Wednesday Oct. 13
Installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 1 and Haliburton Street / Old Victoria Road is now complete. The signal will be operational on Wednesday October 13th. Further construction including watermain installation between the new traffic signal and Aebig Road can be expected later this fall.
This project was undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation, the City of Nanaimo and ICBC. The upgrade addressed safety concerns at this intersection.
