Outdoor Volleyball in Bowen Park
While in Bowen Park yesterday to see the Goats on the Hoof I was surprised to see that the Kin Pool was open and people are swimming already! I checked the calendar and yes, it was only May 6, which even by our standards I thought was a little early.
A stop at the volleyball courts at Bowen Park (across from the curling rink) confirmed it must be an early summer in Nanaimo as shirtless fellows were making good use of the outdoor court. As our former Mayor Ney used to like to say ' Welcome to the Sunporch of Canada'.
