Accident At Tim Hortons Brooks Landing Nanaimo

An 84 year old male has been taken to hospital with head injuries after this bizarre motor vehicle accident at Tim Horton's, Brooks Landing in Nanaimo this morning.

The above pictures were taken about 10:45 am and I am told the accident occurred around 9:00 am. RCMP investigators on the scene were gathering information to reconstruct how the vehicle wound up upside down in the parking lot after hitting a vehicle being towed before crashing into the wall of the popular coffee shop.

Spectacular crashes are keeping the local RCMP detachment busy with one the other day snarling traffic for over 8 hours at the intersection of Northfield Rd, and the Parkway. That accident involved a single car and a truck. Early reports suggest the truck t-boned the car which had gone through a red light. Miraculously there were no serious injuries sustained by the occupants of either vehicle.
