Addresses Men's Violence Against Women

The Nanaimo RCMP wishes to remind the public of a free presentation tonight by members of the BC Lions football team, in support of their # Be More than a Bystander initiative, aimed at addressing the issue of men’s violence against women.

Tonight, February 1st , 6:30- 8:30 pm at the Malaspina theatre, located on the Vancouver Island University campus, retired BC Lion JR LaRose, will be speaking on this ground breaking initiative which brings together professional athletes and representatives from Ending the Violence Association of BC ( EVABC).

Doors open at 6 pm and there will be door prizes and refreshments provided.  While the presentation is free, the public is asked to pre-register in order to be entered into a draw for a signed BC Lions jersey.

Please contact Jessica Lee at ccws@endingviolence.org to pre-register.
