Snowbirds Performing In Nanaimo - August 10/16

Crowd turned out to see Snowbirds in 2013 file photo

City council gave approval for the Snowbirds to perform over the inner harbour on August 10 of this year. This is one of only two performances the flying team does to support charity.

The charity that benefits from their performance is C.H.I.L.D. which is Children with Intestinal and Liver Disorders. The last time they performed in Nanaimo was 2013 I believe and the downtown was completely packed out and required traffic control to clear the area after the show.

The photo above was taken in Pioneer Plaza overlooking the harbour when the Snowbirds were in town last time.
