Dale Schulz - Nanaimo- "As He Sees It" - May 22/16

This is the fourth in what I know will be a welcome addition to Nanaimo Info Blog.

Lifelong Nanaimo resident, professional artist and illustrator Dale Schulz 'sees' much of Nanaimo many of us simply walk by without giving a second thought.

Through the eyes of an artist the everyday can become almost magical and with a few simple photos of his daily walks, Dale captures and shares some of that magic on his Facebook page.

The following is the most recent example of what Dale sees when he walks about our lovely seaside community many of us just take for granted.

Dale's Post - May 22/16

So this morning just for something different, Indy and I joined my wife and drove out to Cedar to the Flea Market at the Cedar Community Hall; and the Country Market at the Crow and Gate - then we had a short walk in Harewood. Most of the shots are from our Cedar excursion.

In the first shot Indy is being drawn inside the Community Hall by the smell of the concession. The second shot is of a cool old truck that rolled through the parking lot. I got a close-up shot of another at the Crow and Gate Market.

On the way home we stopped to shoot an ‪#‎abandonedsofa‬ on Cedar Road and a sign I've been wanting to photograph for quite a while.

On our walk in Harewood I got two shots - blue sky and blue house with Mt. Benson - from Bruce Avenue; and some Buttercups on Dundas between Hamilton and Stirling Avenues.
