Nanaimo Doctors Call System 'Unstable & Unsafe'

Screengrab - Times Colonist
Paperless electronic record system unsafe
doctors revert to pen and paper for patient safety

Nine weeks after the system started up, physicians in extensive care and emergency reverted to 'pen and paper' out of concerns for patient safety.

Doctors fearing reprisal spoke with the Times Colonist under condition of anonymity but say the system is unstable and unsafe and that what you type into one end of the system is not what comes out the other.
