Nanaimo Unsolved Crimes May 7 - 25/16


Unsolved crimes 
May 7th to May 25th

1. Nanaimo file # 2016-14375 On Saturday May 7, at approximately 2:30 pm, in the vicinity of the outdoor checker board near Harbor Air, pm and older male exposed his genitals to two girls, age 4 and 6. The suspect male is white, older with red hair and was described by the girls as looking like a "Grandpa"

2. Nanaimo file # 2016-15163 On Saturday May 14, a white Oryx Mountain bike was stolen from 1831 White Blossom Way

3. Nanaimo file # 2016-15240 On Sunday May 15, a theft was reported from a boat moored at 400 Newcastle Ave  Items stolen include: 3 fishing reels, 4 fishing rods, radar and GPS units, two small tackle boxes and safety gear.

4 Nanaimo file # 2016-15366 Sometime overnight on Monday May 16, a black Velec electric bike was stolen from a locked carport at 770 Poplar St

5. Nanaimo file # 2016-15382 On Monday May 16, a break and enter was reported to an electrical room at 6066 Molecy Lane. A male suspect was seen as he left with copper wire. The suspect is described as white, late 20's or early 30's with a stubbly beard and shaggy brown hair. He wore a black jacket with white lettering on the back, blue jeans and black runners with white stripes

6. Nanaimo file # 2016-15563 On Monday May 16, a 15 hp Nissan outboard motor was stolen from a boat stored at 107 Milton St.

7. Nanaimo file # 2016-15918 On Friday May 20, a vehicle parked outside 1540 Discovery Ave was broken into. Taken was a black zip up suitcase which contained 2 wooden masks purchased in Thailand.

8. Nanaimo file # 2016-15995 On Saturday May 21, a break in was reported to a garage at 711 Arbutus Crescent.  At 3 am an alarm was triggered to the side door of the garage and a side door was opened. A small black sweater was found on the hood of a car and appears to have been left behind by the suspect.

9. Nanaimo file # 2016-16484 Sometime overnight on Saturday May 21, two vehicles (a grey Audi and a F150 pickup) parked on Menzies Ridge road were broken into. Taken were 2 Apple I-pods.

10. Nanaimo file # 2016-16164 On Sunday May 22, at 5:25 pm a robbery occurred at the Chevron gas bar, located at the intersection of Norwell Rd and Highway 19a. The suspect male entered the business with his hand in his pocket but did not produce a weapon. He demanded cash from the till and when it was handed over, he left on foot running southbound along Corona Ave. The male suspect is white, mid 20's. 5 ft. 7 to 5 ft. 8, medium build. He was wearing a dark hoodie with an "Underarmour" logo on the front, grey pants and black shoes.

11. Nanaimo file # 2016-16231 Sometime overnight on Monday May 23, a theft was reported from a boat at 1956 Zorkin Road. Taken were 2 downriggers and a number of fishing rods.
