Is An Electric Car Environmentally Worse Than Gas?
EVs that depend on coal for their electricity are actually 17 percent to 27 percent worse than diesel or gas engines.

yes but most projections show we are on a clean power trajectory (with time). Electric cars are a part of the trend, not the 'end all, be all' .

disingenuous argument at best. If anyone doesn't want to be a part of the solution, they have that right. They will just be on the wrong side of history.
This article is 2.5 years old. It depends on what part of the country one is in, but overall, EVs are better for the environment. In the Pacific Northwest, it's not even a question because our electric power is clean. For every report suggesting EVs are no better, or worse, than combustion engines for the environment, there are 2 or 3 studies proving the opposite.
