Canucks Hockey Protest?

No It's A Greek Austerity Protest

Looking like a scene from Vancouver last night, this clash between police and citizens took place in Greece as Greeks protest recent austerity measures required to try and solve their country's financial woes.

Raising taxes, and cutting services, and rising unemployment have been a recipe for serious civil unrest in the country known as the birthplace of democracy.

It is interesting to note, that it is reported that Greece has recorded a record level of unemployment with their unemployed now reaching a staggering 16.5%. It is also interesting to note Nanaimo's jobless rate almost equals that of Greece.
