Nanaimo Emergency Responded To

Medical Emergency Response
On Saturday afternoon my wife and I were in the Quarterway area, I was showing her the neighbourhood on White Street impacted by the low barrier housing project.

A fire truck came rushing up Bowen Road and a couple of ambulances as well. They all headed into the Pryde/Venlaw area and since I publish a news blog I was naturally curious what kind of event was unfolding. It seemed like an unlkely area for a major car crash and I couldn't see any smoke from a fire but given the response I assumed it was a major event.

On the scene were no less than two ambulances with their crews and a firetruck with it's crew of four firemen also.

The 'event' appeared to be a medical emergency which may or may not have required the use on one stretcher, which was still outside several minutes after eight first responders were on the scene.
